This course is designed to help schools improve existing plans, join national programmes, build local partnerships or fund new initiatives.

1. Theory, policy and guidelines on school financial management – make visible the institutional context as well as the broader structure in which the school operates.
2. Investigate and Integrating the school budget with the school development plan, relevant sections of the system or school and theory of budgeting
3. Report about case study school through presentation School financial budgeting within policy parameters
4. Prescriptions and guidelines for financial monitoring and controlling
5. Procurement procedures. Develop a template of procurement procedures
6. Basic accounting theory and skill-Review the annual report of a school
7. Financial controlling measures
8. Develop the Financial Management Procedure – Policy for a case study school
9. Relevant sections of the Public Financial Management Act and its relevant to school leadership
10. The interpretation of financial records of a case study school. Develop an annual report of a case study school
12. Fundraising strategies and mechanisms i.e. entrepreneurship –Develop a fundraising strategic plan of a local school
13. Preparing a business plan for schools-Develop a business plan of a local school
14. Marketing of schools-Develop a marketing plan of a school
 Continuous Assessment and Evaluation
The final Evaluation of Students will be based on marks obtained from continuous assessment and end-of-semester examination. Continuous assessment will carry 30% and will be written in class and/or assignments. The end of semester (final) examination will carry 70%.
